HBKU HOSTS INAUGURAL QATAR INTERNATIONAL CYBERSECURITY CONTEST
Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) organized the Qatar International Cybersecurity Contest (QICC), which attracted more than 130 experts and over 30 nationalities. More than 85 international participants traveled to Qatar specifically for the event, which was held at Minaretein (College of Islamic Studies building) over three days from October 1-3.
QICC proved to be a great success with researchers, academics, government leaders, business leaders, and other experts gathering to discuss how to solve critical challenges in this field.
Five HBKU colleges organized separate contests during the event, while talks and workshops were held to help create strong international networks and ensure that Qatar is able to achieve its ambitions and capabilities in relation to cybersecurity.
